NGO Lectures

The Rainbow became an important meeting place for local non-profits and NGOs over 11 years ago when the Evening Lectures /NGO Talks first began. The idea of the lectures/talks is to be a link between the NGO and people interested in getting involved with the great projects that work towards making a better Guatemala.

Every talk we host increases a NGOs public exposure as well as the probability that someone attending may decide to volunteer, donate money or fundraise for the charity.  Since hosting the first talk (Sue Patterson´s) we´ve had more than 50 local non-profits and NGO´s presenting!

A donation of Q25 is asked for to each person attending the talk, the donation given goes directly to the presenting NGO.

Los Patojos is an association that promotes a common welfare in the community of Jocotenango, Sacatepéquez. Four fundamental elements are the pillars of this project: Education, Nutrition, Health and Civic Participation through the Arts.
The project is designed to teach and better the lives of all of those who are part of it.  The programs are directed and coordinated by teams of young Guatemalan professionals who focus in social work and who look for solutions to problems that disintegrate the community. In this presentation you´ll meet some of the children and youth who have been part of the program for many years, they will show you their skills and talents!
Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes, founder and executive director of Los Patojos was named as one of The 2014 Top 10 CNN Heroes. Los Patojos: Dreams and Ideas in Action!
